We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir George Reid, a visionary leader, and the driving force behind the creation of Scotland’s Futures Forum 20 years ago.
This month, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are proud to be part of George Reid’s legacy and it is with great sadness that we stop to reflect on his passing as we look to the future.
His lifelong commitment to public service as Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, left an indelible mark on Scotland’s political and civic life.
Sir George’s passion for Scotland and his belief in inclusive, forward-thinking dialogue helped shape the Forum into a space for bold ideas and meaningful debate. His legacy will continue to inspire all those who seek to build a better future for our nation.
